Richard Parker's blog

About my blog

“A geek’s work is never done…”

Although it is true the definition of ‘work’ usually involves a certain element of fun, to geeks.

I’m not quite sure what this blog will evolve into, which direction it will take or even if anybody will read it. But, I shall declare it a resounding success the instant just one other individual subscribes to it. :)

Anyway, I have resisted the blogging craze for too long. What this blog offers me, is a way to write down some of the things that I spend my time on, and share them with the world. Be they sensible things or random musings, with the awesome power that is Bing, I am reasonably confident that at least one other person in the world might find some of what I write about remotely interesting.

And that is precious. ;)

    Dear Richard Parker,
I’m very interested in your gas pulse meter work and would be willing to pay you to make 5 of the gas meter sensors you talk about on this page
    http://blog.richard.parker.name/2009/04/25/how-to-build-a-web-connected-gas-meter-with-your-arduino/

it does look simple but the ordering of bits and time is the problem

if you are interested please get in touch. we have good lins with Usman Haque and Chris Leung doing the pachube project.

    Thanks a lot

    Ben
